Swedish massage is a form of massage where smooth, gliding strokes are used. The primary purpose is to help you relax. The massage therapist will likely move at a slower pace and use light pressure.

Acupressure massage is a form of touch therapy that utilizes the principles of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In acupressure, the same points on the body are used as in acupuncture, but are stimulated with finger pressure instead of with the insertion of needles. Acupressure is used to relieve a variety of symptoms and pain.

Massage Lymphatic System technique developed in Germany for treatment of lymphedema. Lymphedema can also be present at birth or develop at puberty or during adulthood. This type, known as primary lymphedema, can affect as many as four limbs and/or other parts of the body. The cause is unknown. Lymphatic massage for conditions other than lymphedema is not medically recommended, although it may be promoted by some therapists.

Facial massage improves many skin conditions. Increasing blood flow and cellular oxygenation will allow for more deliberate and consistent treatment. By simply stroking the face using a beneficial massage medium, circulation is increased, stimulating a wound-healing response in the skin and providing a healthy glow to any complexion.

Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots, muscle pain, numbness, and intense pressure.

Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet and/or the hands. Reflexology is generally relaxing and helps alleviate stress. The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body.

Hot Stone - Aromatherapy Massage is a type of massage that helps improve circulation in the body and plays a vital role in calming the nervous system. Other benefits of getting a hot stone massage include the restoration of the body’s natural balance, the promotion of deep muscle relaxation, the stimulation of the circulatory system, and the sensation of comfort and warmth within the body. Hot stone massages have also been used in the treatment of many common health disorders, including muscular pains, back pains, arthritis, osteoarthritis, insomnia, stress, anxiety, and fibromyalgia syndrome (the chronic widespread muscle and tissue pains). Aromatherapy massages are suitable for individuals who have acute or chronic conditions, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, menopause or menstrual issues, physical or sports injuries, skin conditions, sleeping disorders, and stress related symptoms. This type of massage can also help those suffering from a cold or the flu, headaches or a slowed metabolism.
